Projecting a Fantasy Football Championship in 2025

I spend a lot of my time thinking about the future. I am fixated on identifying future NFL stars, freshman in college who will breakout and how you can win your 2027 rookie drafts. I am also intentional to ensure my content always helps you win this season. I refuse to sell hope and will not exclusively encourage managers to push a championship run down the road just to keep you coming back.
This week featured a series of content that will prime you to win a fantasy football championship this season.
Rookie Running Backs Ready to Hit the Ground
I have talked a lot about the weakness of the 2024 rookie running back class. Despite the lack of draft capital and mixed tape evaluations we still had two running backs (Bucky Irving, Tyrone Tracy Jr.) finish as top 26 producers in ppr formats. We can expect a whole lot more from the 2025 rookie class.
I put together the first video in a rookie projections series I will be sharing on YouTube over the new few weeks. It details the 5 running backs that shake out as top 24 scorers in my projections-a significant increase from last season!
Quinshon Judkins didn't make the top 24 in my projections even before his recent off-field news. Despite already being below the industry consensus on Judkins, I did adjust him on the 2025 Rookie Big Board update this week. He dropped to RB7, 18 overall-moving from the "weekly starter" to "flex filler" tier. I was not drafting him prior to the news and I will not be drafting him now.

Omarion Hampton Deserves Your Attention
Despite the recent Najee Harris news (and subsequent lack of news), Omarion Hampton's seasonal ADP remains low. He is RB20 via Fantasy Football Calculator and RB17 in Scott Fish Bowl ADP. This week, I wrote about how Hampton may be the best running back value you can draft in seasonal leagues.

I dug deep into Hampton's 2025 seasonal value and how I expect Harbaugh to reverse course on his play calling this season. Here is an excerpt from this week's featured article:
Harbaugh built a reputation as a run-first head coach from his time at Michigan. He showed a desire to continue that in the NFL through the first month of last year's campaign. Justin Herbert threw the ball just 22.7 times/game over the first four games of the 2024 season. The Chargers went 2-2 in that time and then went into their early BYE week. Harbaugh is an adaptive coach, who seemed to realize that his running back room was not where he needed them to be. Herbert threw the ball 32.2 times/game in the following 13 games, marking a significant move away from Harbaugh's initial desire.
The early selection of Omarion Hampton, priority signing of Najee Harris and additions of Mekhi Becton and Andre James through free agency suggest that Harbaugh is giving his run-first approach another chance. I project that the Chargers will increase their rushing attempts from 463 to 525 carries in 2025. This is a significant, but not a statistically unrealistic year over year increase.
Who you Don't Draft Matters Just as Much
Fantasy football titles are sometimes won with the decisions we do not make. That point is emphasized during college fantasy football drafts.
This week I teamed up with John Laub to discuss the players we are avoiding at cost in our college fantasy football drafts.
We also updated our College Fantasy Football rankings this week-featuring our top 250 players. There are now power-4 only tabs to help you win championships in that format.
